My love for Cato Fashions!

Posted on October 12, 2020October 12, 2020 by Cnepps
Yep, this bodysuit (it’s not a blouse, y’all), earrings, necklace (and even the jeans you can’t see!) came from Cato!

The people who know me well will tell you that I ABSOLUTELY (!!!) love Cato Fashions. I’d venture to say that at least half of my wardrobe is from Cato. They have some of the cutest blouses, sweaters, pants, skirts, dresses, jewelry, shoes, tights (yes, I said tights), and gifts that you ever did see! So…how did it all begin??

Well, back in high school, right before my senior year began in 2006, I decided to become more chic. I wanted a look that would turn heads during my last days as a high school student. I was trying to figure out how I wanted to dress for college and was looking for a sassy new wardrobe. One of the ladies from my church suggested Cato and another store that she often went to. All of the aunties in my hometown seemed to shop at Cato so I was curious as to why she thought 17 year old me would like it. When I walked in this time with a fresh pair of eyes, I understood why!

Ever since then, my people know that THISSSS is my store! Cato is more like a boutique without boutique prices. The clothing has that “timeless” look; the pieces can be mixed and matched throughout the years and seasons. There are gorgeous options for REAL women with REAL bodies!

This dress and shoes had me SUPER DUPER cute at the small, socially-distant wedding I attended!

And don’t even get me started about the shopping experience! I can always count on a good laugh and a smile when speaking with one of the associates at Cato. They are so generous with their tips on what would look good with that pair of boots I’m trying on and how to style the blouse and pants I’m looking at. And before the coronavirus closed the fitting rooms, the associates never talked about me when I put yet another item back or asked them to swap out an item for me in a new size! When I was there a couple of weeks ago, the associate took one look at me, looked at the dress I’d picked up, and he said, “Girl, are you buying this for you? I think you need to size down.” Low and behold, he was right! Cato’s associates are the #realest.

Don’t even get me started on the accessories! Where else can you buy cute jewelry for $3.99 that looks like you spent at least $20.00 on it?!?! And there’s an assortment – from earrings that I can buy my 9 and 15 year old nieces plus necklace options that will look fabulous with my new blouse! And chile, I think that every pair of tights that I own, except for a pair from my mom, (from patterned ones to plain ones in fall and winter colors) came from Cato! I’ll have to do a whole ‘nother post on fall and winter wear from Cato! Ha! #seriously

The dress, tights, and boots are all from Cato!

I’m even on the email list and find myself “oohing” and “aahing” at the outfits and details every *clap* single *clap* day *clap*. To whoever is doing those emails and the social media for Cato…listen, you are DOING THE THING!

Whenever someone asks, “Where did you get those earrings?” or “That dress CAN’T be from Cato…can it?!?!” I smile, bat my eye lashes, and respond with, “Girl, you know I got this from Cato!!!”

Check them out!
